So today has been quite the adventure. It started this morning when the three of us left the house at about 8:15. We took Mack to class and then Stetson and I went to a church institute class. It was a great class but a little stressful. I felt a little presser for Stetson to be on his best behaivor because everyone else in the class isn't used to little ones. He did really well :) However, he did decide to talk for the first 45 minutes. Lets just say Stetson has not figured out his inside voice!
I then helped the missionary couple with lunch while a friend watched Stetson. Then I decided to wait for Mack to get out of class to have a quick lunch. By that time it would have been pointless to drive home and then come back to pick up Mack in an hour. So Stetson had to just hang out and take naps with everyone around and he was a champ!
At 2 Mack got out of class and then we headed over to the vet school to hang out with granddad while Mack fixed the welder. Mack then went to get a birthday present so Stetson and I stayed with granddad. Again Stetson took naps and hung out like a champ, never getting upset.
Then at 5, Stetson Mack Granddad and I all went for an early birthday dinner at Texas Road House. And again with all the noise and people wanting to talk and hold Stetson he was AMAZING!! He even let us go to the grocery store for a quick minute.
We got home and Stetson finally started to wind down at 8:30. This is where it all fell apart..... I was holding him trying to get him to fall asleep when I got the hiccups. If you have ever heard my hiccups then you know that my hiccups are so loud they could wake the dead! I was doing pretty good at keeping them quite, but I started talking to Mack and it happened. I let out a LOUD hiccup. Stetson SNAPPED. He had been so good but after all of the commotion and the inturped naps all hit at once when my hiccup scared him so bad that it woke him up!! The poor baby started to scream!!! She screamed and screamed and screamed finally only holding my hand while rocking him and daddy singing calmed him down after 30 minutes of blood curtailing screaming.
I have to say it was one of the saddest things I have EVER seen!!! Well now we know Stetson is so so great but after a long day hiccups are a HUGE no no :(
