2013 LDS Encampment

About two weeks ago Mack went on an LDS Encampment celebrating 100 years of Scouting in the Church. It was the first time I was a solo parent with Stetson for three days (I know to some that is nothing, I guess I've been spoiled)! Luckily I have my mother-in-law and my family so close so we spent time with both so we weren't lonely. It was also Homecoming weekend for OSU Woot Woot!! The Metcalf family was kind enough to let me and Stetson tag along on their family trip to the Walk-Around. It was rainy and cold but fun! Stetson was the warmest out of all of us in his sleeping bag, rain cover stroller. So warm he fell asleep. :)

OKLAHOMA!!

Ok, so on to the encampment. Man was Mack excited for this trip! Mack, his dad, Randy, and Griff were on security duty. This meant that they were able to bring their horses and patrol the camp from Thursday to Saturday. They had a blast! The camp consisted of 8 (I think) stakes in Oklahoma. Thursday was a great clear day but Friday was very cold and rainy! (if I'm getting any of these facts wrong and you more feel free to correct me!) They also had Brother Winn Egan of the Young Men's General Board come and talk to all the guys!

Reed, Randy and Bandit having some lunch

Maddox and Griff, joining the patrol!

And there is my cowboy! Riding his trusty steed Jack! I think they are both pretty great!

Trying to stay warm on the wet and cold Friday.

They had hand cart races. Mack's group ALMOST beat the record!

These are the boys who went out from our ward! We are definitely blessed with great young men (and youth in general) in our ward!

Leigh and Jill manning the trading post :)

If you don't know, in our ward we have the smoking master, Jamie Murray! So when there is a campout there must be smoked meat!!!

Such a great time! Thanks go out to those who put on the whole thing!!

This is a picture from our trunk or treat last week :) My two mountain men and little Indian girl

Pumpkin Patch

Again this post will be mostly pictures! I am learning to love taking pictures of my little family. Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. I was a little nervous that Stetson was not going to have fun because he had four month shots earlier that day, but he was a champ! (now he is running a fever and has a red welt over one of the shots:(..)

The boys looking for their pumpkins!

Stetson's first experience with a pumpkin:)

Daddy thought it would be fun to set him on the pumpkin. I guess Stetson thought it was pretty great too!

Those were the Pumpkins! Daddy's is the big one, mine is the striped one, Stetson's is the small one.

The pumpkin patch we went to also had a maze just on the other side of the patch, so we decided that there was no point in putting Stetson back in the car seat for a 30 second ride. Stetson was a little shocked! He just stared at Mack the whole time with HUGE eyes! :)

The Maze!

There were also some bull calfs there! I'm telling you, this was the best place to go! Stetson was quite inthralled! We might have a little cowboys on our hands ;)

Our last event of the evening was Bryce's 23rd birthday!! Yay for cousins being so close!! We had a great time!

Baby Stetson's Ultrasound at 18 weeks and 2 days and Baby Stetson at 18 weeks and 2 days! I loved him then but I love him even more now!

Thanks for putting up with so many pictures! I figure you only have your first baby once! :)
