My Littlest Cowboy

This blog will be a short one about Stetson, mostly just pictures. Every Sunday Granddad takes Stetson out to see the horses. This way Stetson will be able to touch and smell and see the horses. As you can tell with a name like Stetson, we are hoping that we are going to raise a Cowboy. ;) Granddad snuck Stetson on a horse with out me being able to take a "first ride" picture these are the best I can could do. Stetson at almost 16 weeks:)
Stetson and Mary, soon to be best of friends!

I can't tell who looks more concerned me or him!

Gotta have one with the tongue sticking out

I love this last picture in comparison to the picture where I am holding him! Feeling safe with Granddad holding him :) The boys talking and hanging out with the horses.

Lessons Learned

Things we have learned recently:

First (BIG) Haircut

This is a before picture of Stetson's hair! (14 weeks)
First (BIG) hair cut! Stetson had his first real hair cut this week! It was pretty crazy! I kind of just jumped into it. My mom suggested that I ask around to other moms of little boys, or look it up on YouTube but… I’m just not that kind of person! J I have the mind set of, ‘Oh, I've seen enough haircuts and heard about how to cut hair enough that it will be fine. I can do this no problem.’   So I went and borrowed some scissors form Aunt Christine and went to work!
I decided that it would be easiest to cut Mr’s hair while he was a sleep. I put him to sleep on my bed and then just started cutting. It was a lot harder to cut then I though, mainly because cutting hair on a bed is HARD! You have to lay at all these funny angles so that your hands are in the right spot and so that you don’t wake him up. Then I just kept cutting and cutting! I cut his hair for about an hour and a half. At this point I was kind of like an artist staring at their masterpiece after having worked on it for a long time. It just looked tragically horrible! It didn't help that he had a mullet at this point! I wasn't able to cut the back while he was lying down.
Here is the only (sorta) picture of the mullet
By this time I had to go pick up Mack from class. I was so worried about what he would say about Little One’s cut that I called him trying to explain what had happened and that I would fix it and it would be fine. I think it just scared him even more. When we got home and Mack got a proper look he gave lots of compliments and helped me trim up the back to get rid of this mullet J

And here are the results!!

SO MUCH HAIR!

This week we also got to see Aunt Liz Carol, Uncle Phillip and Nana! It was so fun to see them! Tonight, all whole family went to dinner together minus Aunt Liz (sick), Nana (with sicky), Tanner (football game) and Gracie (first sleepover).  I love that Stetson has so much family so close to love on him!

They sure love each other!

We love Uncle Phillip! Wish we got pictures with Aunt Liz!

This is my latest DIY project it is a dry erase calendar made with paint chips! I didn't like it too much at the start but I love it now! Finally maybe I will be able to remember things!!

I love you all, and hope you have a great night! Here is my list of blessings: 1.So much family so close 2. Haircuts not turning out so bad. 3.School going well for Mack 4.Getting to attend Institute 5.Having a wonderful home to raise my son in!

I almost didn't put this picture up, but I am trying to use this to record my life so... Mack and I went on a trail ride on the 7th of September, leaving Stetson with Mimi for 3 hours!
