Weekly Posts 7/15/13-7/22/13

Ok, so since I've wanted to use this blog as more of a journal and way to share with family far away, I've decided to try and write a new post every Monday, short or long, just to keep on top of things. So here we go!

This past week has been so fun! It really started on Sunday night the 14th. Brother Connell drove threw Stilly and stopped by to see Stetson and drop off yummy yummy food! (this included Roberto's Tortillas and some enchiladas....yum!) It was so good to see him!

Monday, Stetson and I braved the real world and drove down to Tulsa to go and pick up my mom!! She has finished moving and is back to play with us and to be here for Mr. Man's blessing next week. When we went to pick her up from the airport I thought I would try and surprise her by getting there early enough to see her walk off the gate. Long story short, I went to the wrong gate and the text she sent to say she was here went to my dad, so forty-five minutes later... we found each other! Its been so fun to see her!

Tuesday, we on a walk in the heat of the day a Boomer lake (we have since learned noon is not the time to go!). The lake was so full! We are so thankful for the rain!! That night we had dinner with a family friend, Zach. Mack made us Venison steaks, they were actually really good! I make venison in other things with lots of seasoning where the flavor is masked, like tacos, but this was our second shot at just having steaks, and Mack blew it out of the water! (so any one who comes to visit just be prepared for some venison!)

Wednesday, Stetson took like a champ!! Also, if I must say so, my mother and I did quite well too;). We spent the majority of the day shopping! Shopping I tell you! In the city none the less! For us Fullmer girls (or former Fullmers) this is a bigger feat then it sounds :)

I have to say Thursday might be the day I am most proud of! While Stetson recuperated from a busy week, mom and I pulled out all of the clothing that I had throughout the house. (and trust me there were clothes in EVERY nook and cranny!!) We organized and hung up everything and I gave away three trash bags full of clothing (insert pat on back). However I think my favorite occurrence of the day was when my mother was shocked that I had split Mack dresser between him and the baby. She then proceeded to switch dressers around and by the end of the day I found out that MY dresser was now cohabited my one Stetson Holyoak! Gotta love my momma!

Friday had three fun highlights! Number one: We discovered that Stetson is a morning man, so we hunkered down and just played, took pictures and snuggled with Oma. Next, we celebrated sweet Aunt Christine's birthday by surprising her (with two grandma's, the Metcalf family, Tanner and the biggest surprise of all Bryce, who managed to get off from the RRY) at Hideaway Pizza with food, cake and laughter:) Then last but not least, Stephanie and Phillip and their four little ones came in all the way from Indiana! It was fun for the cousins to meet Stetson and for us to meet Steph's newest Everly :)

Birthday Girl and Baby! They sure love each other!

We had to walk behind people to get of the booth:)

Surprising his momma

And just because I love this picture, Mom and I tried an new way to curl our hair :):)

Saturday there was some morning Daddy and Baby time:) Then we headed over to spend some cousin time with the Humphery's :)

Sunday I got a new calling!! Ah! (If anyone doesn't know what that is, in our church it just is the responsibilities you have. Each calling has been thought about and prayed about very earnestly and is meant for you to help others and yourself learn and grow.) I have been called to be the Mia Maid adviser, which is the adviser over the 14 and 15 year-old girls in the ward! I am really nervous but super excited to see how we all learn from each other!

One more thing I want to start is a list of blessing I have felt through out the week.

Blessings: 1. Having my mom here! 2. Having so much family close by to love and support us 3. A thoughtful big brother 3. A healthy baby 4. New challenges 5. All the rain!

Ok ok these are the last pictures! We went to the Lake last Friday with some friends and I couldn't pass up the chance to post this picture!!
